Residential water softening system for home use
- Uses Resin Bead filter media to effectively reduce water hardness. This filter media captures the charge of calcium and magnesium from limestone in water, which causes water hardness, and converts it into soft water. When the resin filter has captured the maximum charge of calcium and magnesium, its effectiveness decreases. The system then regenerates by rinsing with brine solution, allowing the resin filter to continue reducing water hardness.
