Limescale Removal
Electric kettles should have limescale removed regularly using commercially available limescale removal products and following the instructions on the product packaging, or using white vinegar and following the instructions below.
1. Pour 0.6 measuring cups (6 oz) of white vinegar, then add clean water to fill the kettle. Let sit overnight.
2. Empty the vinegar water and refill with clean water. Bring to a boil, empty the water, and repeat until the vinegar smell fades. Any remaining stains inside or on the spout can be removed by scrubbing with a damp cloth.
Caution: Limescale removal should be performed strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use sharp objects or attempt to scrape off limescale as this may damage the interior surface.
Note: When using an electric kettle for an extended period, limescale buildup may occur inside, which is normal and not harmful to health. However, if the amount is excessive, it may affect the kettle's performance.
