Descaling
Electric kettles should be descaled regularly using commercial descaling solution available in the market and follow the instructions on the product packaging, or use white vinegar and follow the recommendations below
1. Pour 0.6 cup (6 oz) of white vinegar, then add clean water until full. Let soak overnight
2. Discard the vinegar solution and refill with fresh clean water. Boil, then discard the water. Repeat until the vinegar smell fades. Any remaining stains inside or around the kettle spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth
Precautions: Follow the manufacturer's descaling instructions carefully and do not use sharp objects or attempt to scrape off scale under any circumstances to prevent damage to the inner surface
Note: When using the electric kettle over time, scale buildup inside is normal and not harmful to health. However, excessive buildup may affect performance
